Our Mission

Company creatives James Broxton and Ross Wigley are passionate about bringing the best of musical theatre to Shropshire and the surrounding areas. Through a diverse lineup of productions, workshops, and classes, we aim to immerse our performers in the vibrant community events that showcase the incredible talent Shropshire has to offer.

Our Journey

Our story began with our first production, Little Shop of Horrors, in 2010, which made history as the first community group to perform on the Main Stage of the newly opened Theatre Severn. With a cast of just 12, the show received glowing reviews and revealed a strong desire within the community for locally produced, high-quality musical theatre.

This enthusiasm inspired us to expand our offerings. When we held our first auditions for young performers for The Wizard of Oz, we were met with overwhelming interest—over 120 eager young talents queued up to audition. This response solidified our commitment to nurturing local talent, leading to the evolution of Get Your Wigle On into the thriving creative hub it is today.

What we offer

Today, we produce multiple full-scale productions annually, offer a wide range of training and classes, and participate in numerous community events. Our musical theatre classes are not just about training; they’re a fantastic way for children, teens, and adults to build confidence, make friends, develop skills, and embrace their inner creativity. Whether you’re new to the stage, rekindling a passion, or looking to develop a young artist's skills, we would love to welcome you into our community.

Our Achievements

Over the years, our productions have earned several regional awards and critical acclaim. However, our greatest pride comes from witnessing the growth and development of our students. Many of our alumni have gone on to further their training in London and secure successful careers in the industry. We believe the stage experience and training gained in our studio is invaluable for anyone looking to hone their craft.

Our Team & Values

Our creative team, once just Ross and James, has grown into a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to inspiring and creating. We’re committed to providing up-to-date training methods, diverse opportunities, and an inclusive, immersive experience for all. We are deeply passionate about our local community and strive to make our productions as sustainable as possible, focusing on recycling, rejuvenating, and reducing our carbon footprint.

Why we #lovelife

Our slogan, #lovelife, is more than just a catchy phrase - it's the heartbeat of everything we do at Wigle! We believe that life is meant to be lived with passion, creativity, and joy, and there's no better way to express that than through the magic of musical theatre. Whether you're on stage, behind the scenes, or cheering from the audience, we're all about embracing the moments that make life extraordinary. At Wigle, we don’t just teach skills; we inspire a love for life through the arts, encouraging everyone to shine, connect, and, most importantly, have fun!
