tHE JELLICLE BALL IS COMING TO TOWN
ANNOUNCING A NEW SHOW FOR OUR TALENTED YOUTH AND TEEN PERFORMERS!
We are thrilled to bring Cats The Musical to the stage in April 2026! One of the most beloved musicals of all time, Cats is packed with unforgettable characters, show-stopping numbers, and a fantastic opportunity for our performers to develop and showcase their dance skills. From the iconic “Memory” to the high-energy “Mr Mistofelees,” this production promises to be an incredible experience for both performers and audiences alike.
We are on the lookout for 2 teams of talented performers to bring the world of CATS to life in our reimagined production that will see CATS get 'The Greatest Showman' treatment. We will be staging this fabulous show with costumes and set inspired by The Greatest Showman and circus characters.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

Auditions are open to ages 8 - 18. Due to the nature of the show and the variety of roles available, we are looking to cast performers across a wide age range. Performers must be aged 8 at the time of the audition.

PERFORMANCE DATES:
Theatre Severn – 30th March to 1st April 2026
REHEARSALS:
Rehearsals will be held weekly during term times. Successful applicants may opt for either rehearsal day:
Tuesday 5:00pm – 6:15pm
or
Thursday 6.15pm - 7.30pm
First Rehearsal: week commencing 5th May 2025 and will run through term times only.
Those cast in the production will be enrolled in our Annie class and will be required to pay a term fee for both the summer and winter terms.

EXTRA REHEARSALS:
Additional Sunday rehearsal may be necessary a few weeks before the show.
​
CLASS FEES:
There will be a weekly charge for rehearsals. This will be invoiced termly. One summer term and one part-winter term which will run up to the production dates.

AUDITION INFO & HOW TO APPLY:
All applicants must attend an Audition Workshop in their preferred class time to be considered for a role. These workshops will be a fun and supportive learning environment, open to both new and existing members.

Preparation / about the audition :

Children should prepare 30 seconds - 1 minute of one of the songs from the show. We will upload the links to the tracks here as soon as we have received them. They will perform this in person to members of our team on the
audition day. -
If children do not wish to audition for a solo role they do not need to prepare a song but will need to take part in the dance and drama elements of the
auditions. - At the workshop audition all children will work together on a dance number and drama activities that they will perform in small groups.
- For the audition please wear clothing suitable for dance.

From these auditions we may find it necessary to hold a few call backs who will be contacted separately.​

AUDITION RESULTS
Following auditions, the cast list will be posted on this webpage no later than May 5, 2025 . Those cast in the production will be enrolled in our CATS class and will be required to pay a term fee for Wigle terms which run in line with academic term times.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS
By applying for Annie The Musical, you acknowledge that auditions are competitive, and a place in the cast is not guaranteed. As a parent or guardian, it is your responsibility to ensure your child understands that not all applicants will be cast. While we would love to give every performer a leading role, casting is based on suitability, vocal and performance ability, and overall production needs.
