ADDITIONAL REHEARSALS

As a gesture of support and commitment to our amazing teen cast, we are kindly offering additional rehearsals during the first week of the Easter holidays.

We know many of you have been incredibly busy with other productions, so this is a great opportunity to run lines, rehearse scenes, and feel confident heading into show week.

EXTRA REHEARSAL DETAILS:

Monday 14th - Friday 18th April (first week of the Easter holidays) daily 4:00pm - 7:30pm.
All rehearsals will take place at one of our Wigle studios – final details will be shared via the Grease Facebook group, so please check daily.

These rehearsals are being provided at no cost, in response to requests for extra support, in return we expect good attendance, commitment, and focus - especially from those who have asked for this support. That said, the more the merrier... we would LOVE to see the full company at every rehearsal!

During this week, all cast members will also be required to try on and select their costumes, so please ensure you attend at least one session.

We’re proud to offer this extra support to help you feel your best - and we hope it’s received with the respect and appreciation it deserves. Let’s make this show something special together.

THEATRE REHEARSAL INFORMATION & PERFORMANCE DAY INFORMATION

In addition to your regular weekly classes, the following additional rehearsal and performance times will take place at Theatre Severn. Please make note of all the dates and times below, as attendance is required for all students.

GET IN – Thursday 24th April

We’re looking for volunteers aged 18+ to help with our Get In and Tech Set-Up on Thursday 24th April. If you'd like to be involved, please email james@wigles.co.uk.

There are both on-stage and off-stage roles available, this includes tasks like set building, costume prep, and general tech support.
Anyone assisting on stage will need to wear steel toe boots. We do have a variety of sizes available, so let James know your shoe size if needed!

Full Cast Schedule:

  • Thursday 24th April: All Cast Called – 2:00pm to 9:00pm (Get In & Tech Rehearsal)

  • Friday 25th April: All Cast Called – 11:00am to 10:00pm (Dress Rehearsal & First Performance)

  • Saturday 26th April: All Cast Called – 12:30pm to 9:45pm (Two Show Day)

  • Sunday 27th April: All Cast Called – 12:30pm to 5:00pm (Final Show and Get Out)
Reminder: All cast are involved in all four performances across the weekend.

GET OUT – Sunday 27th April

As always, it takes a full team to make a show happen... and even more to pack it down!
If any parents or cast members aged 18+ are available to help with the Get Out after the final performance (approx. 2 hours), we would be hugely grateful.
This includes costume pack-down, set dismantling, and general support. Reminder: all those helping move set pieces on stage will require steel toe boots.
Please get in touch with james@wigles.co.uk if you are happy to lend a hand.

Drop-Off & Collection Points – Theatre Severn

  • Drop-Offs: Please use the First Floor Bar Door.

  • Collections: Please collect from the Ground Floor Foyer (beneath the Walker Theatre door).

  • If you're happy for your child to leave the theatre unaccompanied during breaks, for those in Year 11 and under please email info@wigles.co.ukto provide written permission.

WHAT TO BRING

We want every student to have a comfortable and enjoyable experience backstage. Please take note of the following guidelines:

  • Essentials: We recommend that students bring enough food and drink to stay fed and hydrated during their time with us. There will be an hour each day for students to leave the building but we will need parental permission for all those in year 11 and under. Email info@wigles.co.uk if you permit your child to leave the building.

  • Allergy Awareness: Please do not pack foods containing nuts, as we may have children with nut allergies.

  • Medication: If your child requires medication, an inhaler, or any other essential medical items, please ensure they bring them and inform Danni before leaving them in our care.

Phones & Backstage Experience

While we do not enforce a strict 'no phones policy' backstage, we strongly encourage students  engage with their surroundings rather than relying on technology. Being backstage is a rare and exciting experience which we would love our students to fully embrace, rather than miss out!

Important: Students are not permitted to take photos or film any parts of the show from the audience, wings or in the changing areas while people are changing at any time. However, photos may be taken in the hallway and communal areas.

Costume, Makeup & Hair Requirements

  • Hair:

    • For those with longer hair, please bring hair ties and grips as needed.

    • Principals: Some may be required to wear wigs or headgear - this will be confirmed at your theatre rehearsal.

  • Costumes:

    • Costumes will be provided, but we ask each student to bring the following items:

      • Boys: Black shoes, trainers, converse.

      • Girls: Shoes, plain white pumps or converse, along with flesh-coloured stage tights.

      • We also recommend that girls wear an undergarment, such as cycling shorts and a vest top, for comfort while changing.

  • Makeup:

    • Stage makeup is welcomed.

If you have any questions, please contact the team at info@wigles.co.uk.

Thank you for your cooperation!

A NOTE ON RESPECT

As we head into the final rehearsals, we kindly remind all cast members to show respect at every level...
Respect the Wigle studio and the Theatre space we’re lucky to rehearse and perform in.
Respect the staff and volunteers who give their time and energy to make this production possible.

Respect the costumes, set pieces and props we have hired or made for your production.
And most importantly, respect your peers - this experience is built on teamwork, kindness, and support.

This show could not happen without every single person involved - let’s honour that by bringing our best selves to every rehearsal and performance.
