NEW SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT
COMING 2025
With the endless fun had during rehearsals towards our teen production of Beauty and the Beast, we are thrilled to offer younger performers the chance to shine in our upcoming production of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST JR!

We're excited to announce a junior production of this Disney musical, A Tale as Old as Time that is a great way to follow on from Frozen. Open to performers aged 7-16, this is the perfect opportunity for young stars to take the stage and bring this enchanting story to life.

Based on the original Broadway hit and Academy Award-winning film, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. is a magical adaptation of this classic tale of transformation and love. With beloved songs by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice, this production is filled with fun roles - including enchanted objects inside the Beast's castle.

The production will be staged at Theatre Severn the week commencing October 27th, 2025. Don't miss your chance to be part of the magic - auditions sign ups are now open!

HOW TO APPLY TO AUDITION
Step 1:
Fill in the AUDITION SIGN UP form below.
When filling out the form, please indicate which performance team/s you are available for and which audition date you will be attending. (We recommend attending the audition date that aligns with preferred rehearsal time slot.)

Step 2:
Decide whether you'd like to audition for a principal role or an ensemble role.

-
Ensemble Role: No preparation is needed. Just turn up to your chosen audition slot and enjoy a fun, workshop-style audition. It will be informal, friendly, and low-pressure.

-
Principal Role: If you’re interested in applying for a role, please choose up to three parts from the list below and submit a video recording via WhatsApp to 07450 267136. Make sure to clearly state your child's name and the role/s they wish to be considered for. Please note: by submitting an individual audition tape - we will consider all applicants for every role - not just the role they have applied for. Those wanting to apply for principle roles are required to also attend the group audition.

Step 3:
Attend the audition and have fun! If your child decides not to audition closer to the time, please let us know by emailing info@wigles.co.uk. We limit the number of sign-ups to ensure the best experience for all participants, so please inform us if your child changes their mind.

Important Note for Parents:
Auditioning is a valuable experience, but it can also be challenging. We encourage you to help manage your child's expectations. Not everyone can be cast in a lead role, but every part, big or small, is essential to the success of the production. Support your child in understanding that auditions are a chance to learn, grow, and be part of a creative process, regardless of the outcome. We have indicated ages for each role to allow children and parents to look towards realistic characters they can apply for.
We may also consider making our Friday evening rehearsal slot a cast of ages 7 - 12 to allow those younger performers a chance to take on the roles if it proves popular enough.
