Following The Addams Family, The Get Your Wigle On teen musical theatre group will return to Theatre Severn next Easter with GREASE THE MUSICAL!
After a whirlwind summer romance, the leather-clad, hair-obsessed Danny Zuko and the girl next door, Sandy, find themselves reunited when Sandy is transferred to Rydell High School for her senior year. As she navigates the contrasting social circles of Rydell High and encounters the typical trials and tribulations of teenage life, will their summer love stand the test of time, or will it fade away?
But that's not all! Dive into the vibrant world of Rydell High with the iconic T-Birds and Pink Ladies, as they strut their stuff and rule the school halls with attitude and style. With fantastic ensemble work that brings the halls of Rydell High to life, this production offers a chance for every cast member to shine.
Featuring an unforgettable and iconic score, including beloved hits like "Summer Nights," "Greased Lightnin'," "Hopelessly Devoted to You," and "You're the One That I Want"... we can't wait to bring this electrifying musical to Theatre Severn next year!
AUDITION update:
A huge thank you to all of those that attended the group dance audition and to those that have also prepared their solo audition pieces. It has been wonderful getting to see so much talent and enthusiasm.
With such an overwhelming response to auditions it has made the casting process more tricky than usual!!
We have had to turn down over 30 people for this production but want to ensure that all those that took part in the audition know we are extremely grateful for everyone taking the time to attend. We know Grease is an extremely exciting show and hope that those unsuccessful will be sure to try out for other upcoming shows. We have just announced 13 THE MUSICAL that offers fantastic opportunities for singers, dancers and actors to take to the Theatre Severn stage and will be releasing new titles throughout the year.
We have put together two extremely strong cast lists for this show and are excited to get to work on staging the production. We look forward to meeting our class of Rydell High on Tuesday night!
