INTO THE WOODS / JTF 2027

🌲🎭 We're Thrilled to Reveal Another Title in Our 2027 Line-Up of Shows! 🎭🌲

We are delighted to announce that Into the Woods JR. will be joining our 2027 season!

​

This project is unlike anything that Get Your Wigle On has worked on before. We are excited to reveal that those cast in this production will not only perform the full show, but will also work together to create and stage a 15-minute adjudicated version to take to the Junior Theatre Festival 2027 in Birmingham.

​

Following the festival, the cast will then perform the complete production at Theatre Severn on Tuesday 1st June 2027.

​

What makes this project particularly exciting is the creative approach we will take to staging the show. The entire production will be brought to life through physical theatre, characterisation, ensemble storytelling, and the talent of the cast, much like the way we create our Junior Theatre Festival performances. The only addition will be selected costume and prop elements to enhance the storytelling and bring this magical tale to life.

First Cast Reading

📅 Tuesday 7th July

Following the first reading, the group will break for the summer holidays. After the summer, we will have two terms to create both the full production and the adjudicated festival performance.

Rehearsals

Fees

• Weekly rehearsal fee: £9.40

• Book fee: £10.50

• Junior Theatre Festival entry fee and coach travel: £115

Please note that the JTF fee must be paid by 15th January 2027.

Age Requirements

We are looking for performers aged 10-18 years old (participants must be within this age range on 30th May 2027).

Cast Size

We are looking to cast 30/35 performers for this exciting experience.

This promises to be a truly unique theatrical experience, combining the creativity and energy of the Junior Theatre Festival with a full-scale production of one of musical theatre's most beloved stories. We can't wait to begin this adventure and bring the world of Into the Woods JR. to life!
