Sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty!

This summer, we are beyond excited to announce that our two-week production workshop for 2026 will be Matilda Jr - the high-energy, heartwarming musical based on Roald Dahl’s beloved story.

We’re calling all young performers aged 8 - 17 to join us for an unforgettable theatrical adventure as we bring the story of Matilda, Miss Honey, and the terrifying (but iconic!) Miss Trunchbull to life on the Theatre Severn stage.

Packed full of incredible characters and show-stopping songs including NaughtyRevolting ChildrenWhen I Grow Up and Bruce, this brilliant musical offers something for everyone. Whether you love big ensemble numbers, character acting, comedy, or powerful solos, Matilda Jr is bursting with opportunities to shine. It’s a story about courage, imagination, friendship, and standing up for what’s right - and we cannot wait to see our Wigle performers take it on.

Daily sessions will take place at our Wigle Studio in the Quarry, Monday to Friday, 9am - 3.30pm, from 20th July - 31st July 2026. Across two exciting weeks, our talented team will guide students through rehearsals, workshops, choreography, vocal sessions and character development as we build a full-scale production ready for the stage.

Auditions will take place during the workshop to determine casting, ensuring every participant has the chance to shine and play a vital role in the show. Costumes are provided - all students need to bring is their energy, enthusiasm, and a love of performing.

The workshop will culminate in spectacular performances at Theatre Severn at the end of the two weeks - a moment our cast, families and audiences will never forget.

Bookings open for members on Friday 27th February at 11am.
Remaining spaces will then open for non-members on Friday 6th March at 11am.

To secure a place, simply sign up via our website and pay a £50 deposit. Spaces are strictly limited and always fill quickly - so don’t miss your chance to be part of something magical.

We can’t wait to see you this summer… it’s time to be a little bit revolting!
