OPERATION WICKED

Following the success of our 6th Wigle West End Trip to see Mamma Mia in July 2022 - this summer we will be returning to London to see two incredible musicals, Operation Mincemeat and Wicked!

Get ready for an unforgettable theatre experience with two sensational shows: Operation Mincemeat and Wicked.

Discover the wildly inventive, true story behind Operation Mincemeat, a brilliantly witty musical comedy set during World War II. Follow a team of unlikely intelligence officers as they hatch an outrageous plan to outwit the enemy - packed with sharp humour, clever twists, and an energetic score that brings this remarkable mission to life.

Then, be swept away by the magic of Wicked, the spellbinding story of the witches of Oz. Before Dorothy arrives, an unlikely friendship forms between two young women - one misunderstood, one popular - as they navigate love, identity, and destiny. Featuring breathtaking staging and iconic songs, including “Defying Gravity,” it’s a powerful tale of courage and self-discovery.

Together, these two shows offer the perfect blend of history, heart, comedy, and spectacle - making for a theatre trip you won’t forget.

There will be time between shows to eat, relax, and enjoy the surrounding area. Students not accompanied by a parent/carer will remain in supervised groups led by Wigle staff at all times.

Snacks and treats will be provided on the coach, and additional comfort stops will be scheduled during the journey. Children are able to purchase food from the Motorway Service Stations or bring food with them to eat on the coach. Between the shows the groups will be able to grab food in London - we anticipate this being fast food options due to time restraints.
